Bad Tasting Water

Does your water have an unpleasant taste?

Improve the taste of your water with Culligan.

Before your water enters your home, it can pick up bad tasting contaminants - from private wells, miles of underground utility pipes or even the local municipal water source itself. Many municipalities add chlorine to offset the problems caused by these contaminants, but this only makes your water taste worse! You may not be able to see these contaminants, but when you taste the water, something is obviously not right.

Culligan Water - Bad Tasting

Common water taste problems include –

A sour, salty, bitter or metallic taste can be a sign of high levels of total dissolved solids (TDS) in your water, normally chlorides, sulfates and bicarbonates. Signs of TDS water problems include:

  • A sour, salty, bitter or metallic taste due to total dissolved solids (TDS)
  • A “bleachy” taste due to chlorine added in by municipalities
  • A musty, woody taste due to organic contaminants like algae
  • A soapy or chemical taste due to contaminated private wells

Bad tasting water has many causes, and Culligan has the right water treatment equipment for every situation.   Whether you need a Culligan® Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water System that removes particulates smaller than a micron, or a Culligan® Carbon Filter that removes the taste of chlorine, your local Culligan Man™ has the perfect solution for you.

What Clients Say
Had a whole house water softener and drinking water system installed. Tracked down Culligan after visiting a friend in Ohio who had the same systems installed in their home and we were very impressed with the taste of their Culligan water. It is great! Have had great experience with this company - everything from the appointment schedulers, salesman who first visited the house, and the installer. Not an easy installation as wanted to run the drinking water to the sink dispenser as well as a stove top pot filler and ice maker. Installer was up to the challenge! Developed a leak in the old/plugged valve for the ice-maker with other plumbing work done in the house the following week and Culligan resolved/repaired even though this was not their fault! Great service, staff, and products. Highly recommend! (In regards to some of the cost concerns, the equipment and maintenance costs were significantly cheaper than what our friends paid in Ohio!)
